Tonight is a special opportunity for all Utahns to tune in to Utah’s first rural Gubernatorial debate that will be 100 percent focused on rural Utah issues and topics. The broadcast, hosted by Evans Family Media, V6 Media, and the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce, will be aired statewide on rural Utah radio stations, rural Utah Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages, on KSL.com, and various other rural Utah media outlets. “Issues facing rural Utah are often different than they are in the Wasatch Front,” shares Steve Evans, owner of Evans Family Media. “This debate is an effort to unite rural Utah and promote issues that are relevant to rural Utah citizens, to state candidates and state leaders. Rural Utah’s legislative influence is shrinking, and as the four counties along the Wasatch Front continue to grow, rural Utah’s legislative influence lessens. We become less relevant, we’re not as involved in state decisions that are being made, we’re not counseled on them, and this is an effort to unite rural Utah to stand up and say that we want to be recognized.” Tonight’s debate will take place from 6 to 7:30pm at the V-6 Media Studios in Vernal. It will be available locally through V-6 Media, and broadcast live on Newstalk 104.5 FM and AM 920 KVEL as well as under the KVEL tab on www.BasinNow.com.
