Today is the first day of the free summer lunch program in the Uintah School District and
Duchesne County School District. In the Uintah School District, meals will be served
Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Ashley Elementary in Vernal. The
program runs from June 3rd through July 19th. No meals will be served on June 19th,
July 4th or July 5th. Meals are FREE for all children ages 18 and under. The Duchesne
County School District is offering free summer lunch Monday through Thursday from
11:30am to 12:15pm at East Elementary, Centennial Elementary, Duchesne Elementary,
and Myton Elementary. Note that Duchesne County sites will be closed on Fridays and
on July 4th. The last day for free summer lunch will be July 23rd. Meals at all the
summer lunch sites are free for all youth ages 18 and under. Federal regulations require
that all meals be eaten on site.
