Today you can make more than just a fashion statement with your choice of clothing and local agencies are encouraging all to do just that. April 24th is Denim Day across the globe. It’s a day to wear jeans to raise awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and show support for survivors of domestic violence. The local announcement explains that “Denim Day began after a court ruling that blamed the victim for sexual assault because of her clothing. We stand together to say that clothing choices never justify violence.” Learn more at DenimDay.org.
