You think you’re having a bad day at work? Think again. The wrong set of circumstances resulted in a toy hauler trailer tipped on its side on Highway 40 near the Walgreens intersection on Tuesday. Vernal PD responded at about 11:43am to the call and remained on site for nearly 2 hours redirecting traffic while equipment was brought in to remove the trailer from the eastbound lanes. The trailer was from Esquire RV. According to management, they were transporting the unit and took the entrance onto Highway 40 a bit too tight. The trailer went up the snow berm and started tipping. The driver attempted a correction that failed. Management also shared that it was an empty toy hauler which makes it extra tipsy and just plain didn’t help the situation. In the end, everyone was okay, which they emphasized was all that really matters. Esquire RV thanked Vernal PD, UHP, and Advanced Towing for their swift yet kind efforts in assisting with the recovery.
