A teenage suspect has been charged in February’s robbery at the Roosevelt Top Stop. A press release from the Roosevelt City Police Department states that at 8:53pm on February 8th, officers responded to a robbery at the Top Stop located at 201 South Main Street in Roosevelt. “The suspect came into the convenience store with their hood up and face covered and brandished a firearm at the clerk while demanding cash from the register. The suspect’s firearm was discharged during the robbery, but no one was injured. On February 14th, a 17-year-old male was arrested on unrelated charges and as a result of the robbery investigation conducted by the Roosevelt City Police Department and tips from the public, it was determined that he was a suspect in the February 8th Top Stop robbery.” In regards to the Top Stop robbery, the juvenile suspect was charged on March 20th with Aggravated Robbery, Felony Discharge of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Restricted Person, and Theft. The suspect is currently in custody and due to him being a juvenile, no further information will be released at this time.
