Teacher at Eagle View Elementary a Candidate for Utah’s Teacher of the Year

The state of Utah recently announced the finalists for Utah’s 2021 Teacher of the Year and a teacher from Eagle View Elementary is on that short list. Pamela Wright is a 21-year veteran teacher who is currently teaching 4th grade. Wright received her Bachelor of Science from Utah State University, as well as her Master of Education, majoring in Elementary Education. Her belief that forming strong relationships is the core of successful teaching has led her to help in many ways beyond teaching in the classroom. She has been the Suicide Prevention Advisor at Egale View for the past six years, being a certified instructor of suicide prevention that allows her to train staff and community members. She has served on the Student Intervention Team for eight years and is currently serving on the Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Team. She has supervised the After-School Connection Program and summer school programs. Her service includes numerous school committees, district leadership committees, team leader and mentor. The whole Uintah Basin congratulates Pamela Wright on her nomination and thanks her for the service and example she has been in the community.
