The debut of the stage production about the life of John Wesley Powell is approaching and tastes of the songs and story help show how unique this production will truly be. The ‘Let’s Go! A John Wesley Powell Story’ Facebook page recently shared a song and scene from the production that happens in Green River, Wyoming in the spring of 1869. The crew of the Powell Expedition are in a saloon, enjoying the last of their time before the expedition heads out the next day. The scene includes “Frank Goodman, a self proclaimed adventurer and future resident of Vernal, Utah, joined by Andy Hall, the youngest member at the age of 19, [singing] the last song of the night to a full and very energetic crowd.” Visit the Facebook page for links to the music and tastes of the story. The 2024 Outlaw Trail Theater production of ‘Let’s Go! A John Wesley Powell Story’ is set to run June 24th through July 6th. Auditions are anticipated to take place in April.
