It’s a case of theft from the Sweetwater County range facility. The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the theft of a large amount of expended rifle and pistol cartridge cases. According to the Sheriff’s Office, about 300 pounds of cartridge cases were stolen, mostly made up of .40 Smith and Wesson, .45 ACP pistol cases, and 5.56 rifle cases. Several brass pistol cleaning rods were also missing. Anyone that has information about who may have taken these items is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (307)922-5345.
