Survivors 2020 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

It is estimated that in 2020 there are around 276,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer that will be diagnosed in women. Currently there are more then 3.5 million breast cancer survivors. To help raise awareness of breast cancer in the Uintah Basin, six local survivors have been selected to be featured as part of the “Admire the Survivors” campaign. Visit ubh.org/admire to read the stories and witness the beauty of Lynzi Clark, Dinah Peltier, Beckie Ann Allred, Nicole Lorg, Kim Rojas, and Courtney Theener. Through the campaign, Uintah Basin Healthcare reminds the public that breast cancer is sometimes found after symptoms appear, but many women with breast cancer have no symptoms. This is why regular breast cancer screening including breast self-exams, clinical breast exams and mammograms are so important. Early detection is key.
