Well over 300 visitors enjoyed time in Vernal this week as they attended the Building Utah Conference at the Uintah Conference Center. In addition to the speeches by the Governor and Lt. Governor, the conference had panels focused on Financing Infrastructure Development, Harnessing Public/Private Investments, and State Infrastructure Investment as well as other workshops and breakout sessions. The conference was presented by the Utah Association of Counties and is considered a great success after having several years off. Local leaders were especially pleased with the turnout and additional positives from hosting the conference in Vernal. “This is a great way to showcase our area so that people of influence can see our corner of the state,” shares Vernal City Mayor Doug Hammond. “Hopefully they will come back with their families and enjoy what we have.”
