UBTech students from across the Uintah Basin filled the Roosevelt campus for the UBTech skills showcase on Thursday. The public and local industry were invited to come see the students in action. The Construction Technology students had 4 hours to finish their challenges. There was a team competition building sheds and an individuals competition building dog houses. Culinary students made delicious dishes, welding let the sparks fly, and automotive students showed off their skills. The Information Technology students built brand new computers, worked on networks, and set up servers. One of the instructors shared that the importance of this event is that they are working with industry partners to continue the experience of working with the equipment that they will see out in the field. Way to go to all the hard working students of UBTech!
