Get out this weekend and go Fishing With The Fox! DWR Outreach Manager Tonya Kieffer-Selby visited the Evans Family Media studios this week to encourage all to get fishing on Steinaker and Starvation to pull up some tagged fish and get registered for the prize drawing coming up on Thursday. With so much water this year, pulling up tagged fish has been a little harder. Selby says that out of 550 tagged fish stocked in the two reservoirs, only 32 have been returned so far! In the past at this point there would have been at least 150 and up to 300 turned in. So there are well over 500 tags still out there waiting to be caught and one of the winners will be $3,500 dollars richer on Thursday night. Catch a tagged fish and register it online by midnight on Sunday, August 6th. Everyone who gets their tags registered in time are eligible for the drawings for $2000 dollars in prizes and the $3500 dollar grand prize. The drawing event is taking place before Alive After 5 in front of the Uintah County Library on August 10th at 5pm. You have to be present to win or register someone to be there on your behalf. Now get out and get fishing!
