With the odd January weather, officials continue to plan on an upcoming Steinaker ice fishing event but are leaving room for the possibility it may need postponed. The 8th Annual Ice Fishing Tournament is scheduled to be held at Steinaker State Park on February 3rd. The tournament is pending safe ice conditions. If it is held, there is an adult division and kids 16 and under division. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for kids with registration running from 6am to 11am. Winners are determined by measurements. Fishing begins at 7:30am and ends at 2:00pm. Officials will post ice conditions as the tournament nears.
