The Roosevelt USU campus came alive earlier this month with students grades 5 through 8 for the STEAM Expo. Over 1,100 students attended the event that focused on STEAM subjects: science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. “Community engagement is one of the three pillars in our vision statement at USU Uintah Basin,” shares USU Uintah Basin associate vice president David Law. “For this STEAM Expo, we collaborated with community agencies and Uintah and Duchesne School Districts to provide rich learning experiences for our local 5th-8th graders. This expo was a great example of our community coming together to inspire and support our future scientists, technicians, artists, mathematicians and engineers.” Uintah School District, Terra Academy, Duchesne County School District, and homeschool students attended and enjoyed the event. USU has already announced that the STEAM Expo will be held again next October.
