State Requests Feedback from Mistaken Recipients of Travel Alert

The recent executive order from Governor Gary Herbert has some kinks in it affecting residents throughout the Uintah Basin and the state is asking for feedback. The order allows a wireless emergency alert to be sent to travelers as they cross state borders in Utah. The alert directs motorists to fill out a brief declaration or survey in an effort to stay aware of people coming into Utah who might be at risk of spreading COVID-19. This technology has mistakenly sent alerts to residents in northeastern Utah while nowhere near the Utah border and some are receiving it by mistake multiple times in the same day. If you have received the alert in an unexpected location, visit coronavirus.utah.gov. There is a link to information about the order and from there a link to the survey to provide feedback and help improve the accuracy of future alerts.
