It’s time for ‘Stars, Stripes, Summer Nights’ at the Duchesne County Fair this week in
Duchesne City. The 4-H, FFA, and Open Livestock Show starts today with market
livestock weigh-in. Knowledge, testing, and showmanship are Tuesday and Wednesday
with the Awards Ceremony Wednesday evening at 6pm. The Jr. Market Livestock Sale is
on Thursday morning and youth sheep, goat, poultry, and rabbit shows are on Friday. Of
course the Duchesne County Fair itself has countless activities. An example of just a few
include: An old fashioned horse pull taking place on Saturday at 11am. Teams from
Idaho, Utah and Wyoming will be there to compete in three weight divisions. These
animals have some serious muscle and have pulled up to 12,000 pounds before. Cowboy
Mounted Shooting is happening Saturday at 3pm in the Indoor Arena. Visit
