Stage 2 Fire Restriction Orders Rescinded; Stage 1 Restrictions Remain In Place

As of August 21st, Stage 2 Fire Restriction Orders have been rescinded for Uintah, Daggett, Duchesne, and Wasatch counties. The announcement signed by the State Forester and State Fire Management Office shares that “moderated fire danger indices and improved weather conditions have resulted in reduced wildfire hazard in Northeast Utah…Fire danger is expected to continue to be high as summer months progress, therefore, Stage 1 fire restrictions are still in place.” This applies to all unincorporated private and state lands in Uintah, Daggett, Duchesne, and Wasatch counties. It does not affect private land within incorporated towns or city limits.
