Placement of the chip seal surface on SR-121 in Roosevelt has been delayed due to equipment availability. According to this week’s announcement, the work from Main Street to Hancock Cove Road is now expected to start on Monday, June 26th. The UDOT crew is still working on the resurfacing project on Highway 40 going on from the Ouray turnoff to Vernal. The SR-121 project length is 1.5 miles and runs by the Uintah Basin Medical Center campus and the Roosevelt Golf Course. Once resurfacing does start on SR-121 there will be one-way flagging operations, lane closures, and moderate travel delays Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm. It is crucial that travelers follow all signs and signals while in the work zone and use extra caution for the safety of the crews working in the area.
