They did it! The Union Lady Cougar Volleyball team bested the Seeded number 1 San Juan Broncos Wednesday morning 3 sets to 1 in  the semifinals, to set up the championship match at 4:30 with the Morgan Trojans later that day.

The Cougars won the first two hard fought sets 26-24 and 25-23 before the Lady Trojans responded with a 21-25 win, and it appeared the Cougars let down a little losing the fourth set 15-25.

The fifth set typically goes to 15, but you have to win by two points. Back and forth until the Cougars managed an 18-17 advantage, then Kenisten Weaver, set up sister Ellison Weaver for the game, set, match and championship winning spike as the Cougars triumphed 19-17.

Congratulations to the Union Lady Cougar Volleyball team, Utah's 3A State Champions.
