The 2021 Special Olympics Northeastern Area games are underway with the Track and Field event coming up on Wednesday. The Duchesne Raptors and Uintah Dinos had a fantastic day of competition earlier this month during the Swim Meet. This week these athletes are at it again, this time for their Torch Runs. The Duchesne County Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Duchesne Raptors took place on Thursday morning in Roosevelt and Myton and was a great success. The Uintah Dinos Torch Run is happening today at 3:00pm on Highway 40 in Vernal starting at the old True Value building at 300 West and ending at Wendy’s at 1120 West. All are encouraged to show their support and honk and wave and then turn out to cheer on these special Olympians next Wednesday for the Special Olympics at the Uintah High School stadium.
