Vernal’s downtown revitalization projects are getting noticed by more than just the locals. This month, Vernal City’s South Vernal Avenue Revitalization Project was recognized as the 2024 Municipal Project of the Year by the Utah Asphalt Pavement Association. In announcing the recognition, Vernal City congratulated and thanked Sunrise Engineering, the Utah Department of Transportation, TNT Construction, Burdick Materials, and all involved. The Utah Asphalt Pavement Association held their Annual Dinner on February 18th and presented them with the Municipal Project of the Year Award. They were also recognized the next morning at the opening of the Utah Asphalt Pavement Association Conference. Vernal City’s Public Works Director Keith Despain and Vernal’s Street Superintendent Clint Morton were present to accept the award.
