In just its 4th year, PhenomeCon has reached the capacity of the Uintah Conference Center and is a sold out event! Known as Utah’s Paranormal Conference, PhenomeCon kicks off today and runs through Saturday, September 7th. Conference attendees are coming from 48 states and multiple countries and with them comes benefits to the local economy. The hard working team of the Uintah County Travel and Tourism Department puts thousands of hours into planning for the PhenomeCon which is estimated to bring over $2 million dollars to the local economy. “Many of the people come and stay for over a week before and after the event,” shares Travel and Tourism Executive Director Lesha Coltharp. “The Uinta Basin is a paranormal hot spot and it makes people want to come for the conference and see what they can see in the sky.” Coltharp gave a special shout out to Bridget Lake from the tourism office for heading up this annual event.
