The search for three missing Vernal men continues with law enforcement pursuing all leads and angles. 29-year-old Jacob Douglas Tilt, 33-year-old Robert Alan Spoon, and 33-year-old Jason Ralph Tilt were reported missing on Friday, May 26th after having last been seen Monday evening, May 22nd. According to Uintah County Sheriff Vance Norton, the investigation remains active and Search and Rescue teams have been down on the river with no findings so far. The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office came to assist this week as 4 cadaver dogs were used along the banks. “The wind was just right for the dogs,” explains Sheriff Norton, “but they didn’t indicate of anything.” The Sheriff’s Office is also investigating a tip they received that the three men may have been spotted in Myton at the Ute Plaza. Investigators are working to retrieve and review video from the date suspected. The three men were last seen in a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado truck with a temporary tag.
