The fugitive who was apprehended on Tuesday in Uintah County has a hearing scheduled in 8th District Court on his original charges. Robbie Trujillo was arrested in August on drug related charges as well as failure to stop or respond at the command of a police officer. Trujillo was released to Adult Probation and Parole but after not showing up to his scheduled sentencing hearing on January 4th a warrant was issued for his arrest. This led to the events of last weekend during which Trujillo fled from officers in a truck pulling a small utility trailer while in the Jensen area on Sunday. Deputies pursued Trujillo south on Redwash Road and then north on SR 45 at speeds that ranged between 65 and 95 mph. At approximately milepost 30 on SR 45, Trujillo went off road and drove through sagebrush and ultimately drove his vehicle off a steep embankment near the Green River where he abandoned it and fled on foot. After two days, Trujillo was located still in the area and arrested. He is now being held in Uintah County Jail with his sentencing hearing scheduled for February 1st.
