Senator Lee’s Staff Visits Uintah Basin; Lee Pledges to Combat Threats to Energy

Senator Mike Lee’s staff spent time in the Uintah Basin this week as they continue to fight back against Biden’s energy and public lands agenda. Senator Lee is working on legislation to do just that. “As long as I serve in Congress,” shares Senator Lee, “I will do all that I can to combat these threats. As a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee I have: Reintroduced the PURE ACT, which would prevent unilateral monument designations from happening in Utah; Cosponsored legislation by Senator Lummis from Wyoming that would restrict the President’s authority to unilaterally stop development on federal lands; Continue to question Biden’s nominee for DOI, Rep. Deb Haaland, on these important issues; and will have opportunities to further do so in the coming months. I look forward to having an open dialogue with each of you,” continues Lee in his message to the Uintah Basin. “Please reach out anytime I can be of help or any time you have examples of when government decisions are impacting your ability to thrive in your community.” To learn more about Senator Lee’s efforts and for contact information, visit www.lee.senate.gov
