It’s time to celebrate some local superheroes as May 1st is School Lunch Hero Day! Thousands upon thousands of school lunches have been lovingly made and distributed to families throughout the Uintah Basin during this unique time of quarantine and school lunch crews have continued working through it all. Families in Duchesne County School District and Uintah School District are all asked to find a way to say thank you. Hang a banner on your car during meal pick up. Dress up as a superhero or share your appreciation on social media using the hashtag #SchoolLunchHeroes. Uintah School District issued a proclamation in recognition of School Lunch Hero Day stating “NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that Uintah School District expresses its deep appreciation to these valuable employees and commends their good work on behalf of children.”
