Among the many worthy efforts to help local families in need this season is Santa’s Angels led by the big hearted Matt and Alina Tate family. For over 20 years, the Tates have not only dressed up, but gone all out on becoming Santa and his helpers literally and figuratively, helping Uintah Basin families who would otherwise go without. The task is accomplished with the help of the Santa’s Angels who adopt families in need and provide gifts and meals for the holiday. Matt gave a report on this season’s effort on Tuesday, stating that his heart is full. “I want to openly thank my Angel families, my volunteers, and my family,” shared Santa himself. “We were able to get full Christmas with dinner for 61 families and Seniors in the Uintah Basin with about another 15 partial for Christmas assistance.” That wasn’t all they helped with this year, however, as Santa’s Angels’ USED toys helped about 30 families this year thanks to Mindy Mair and Wolf Pack Archery. “That is over 100 FAMILIES in the Uintah Basin helped! Thank you so much for truly being Angels,” shared Tate. “Bringing the light of Christ back to Christmas is what this season is truly about.”
