- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Rotary Club of Vernal was founded in 1959 by a group of community-minded citizens. Since then, they have contributed many hours to help and improve our community and world.
Some of the local projects are: Santa’s Community Effort is managed by the Rotary Club each year to provide Christmas gifts to children in need. The Rotary Club does a lot with literacy. Every year since 2005 they have given a dictionary to each 3rd-grade child in Uintah County.
During Covid to help and support local, small businesses they started “Shop Local and Win”. If you shopped in a locally owned business, you were entered in a drawing to win prizes. The idea was to help small businesses stay open.
Each year Rotary plants trees in a selected area to improve the landscape and quality of our community. They donate grow boxes to the Food Pantry to help provide fresh produce to Food Pantry recipients.
They purchase and provide Bilirubin blankets to the hospital to give to babies with jaundice. These blankets allow the babies to go home to be treated instead of staying in the hospital. Annually the Rotary Club sponsors a coat drive to assist those in need with warm winter coats.
