A Roosevelt woman has been charged in 8th District Court of 6 counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Alexie Maylett is facing the charges for incidents that allegedly took place in the spring involving two 6-year-old males. Roosevelt Police received information from DCFS of a case of possible child sex abuse. Interviews with the victims took place on separate days at the Children’s Justice Center where the victims separately indicated that the abuse occurred at Maylett’s home as well as other details documented by detectives. Maylett was booked into Duchesne County Jail on July 31st. Her bail hearing is scheduled for August 7th.
