Roosevelt City was awarded a $2 million dollar grant last month from the Division of
Water Resources to be used toward Phase III of the Secondary Water System Project and
installation is scheduled to begin next week. Providing a secondary water system has
been a priority for Roosevelt City since 2008 in order to reduce strain on the culinary
water system and provide a separate water source for outdoor irrigation. Installation will
begin on July 1st in the Bonnie Drive/Nelson Avenue/Gates Drive neighborhood area and
it is anticipated that installation will take approximately one month for each area.
