Roosevelt Rocks Readies for a Big June Rock Hunt

Residents of the Uintah Basin are quite familiar with the fun of finding painted rocks. Rock hunting has become a popular pastime for our community members who now enjoy the marvels of the outdoors while scouring the landscape for a glint of color hoping to discover a rock painted/decorated in a festive or unique manner. Such encounters seem to be a little more meaningful to Uintah Basin rock hunters after spending so much time in quarantine this spring. To promote this fun hobby and get people enjoying the outdoors, the Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce is prepping the Roosevelt area for a big June Rock Hunt being put on by Roosevelt Rocks. The local hunt is being supported by local businesses with some great prizes and giveaways. For more information, visit the ‘Roosevelt Rocks Official Page’ on Facebook.
