Roosevelt Police Department announced on Tuesday that, like Vernal, the bomb threat received in Roosevelt on September 2nd was to the O’Reilly Auto Parts store. “Officer Wheeler was first on the scene and spoke with the employee who received a threatening phone call stating that there was a bomb in a box in the building,” shares Roosevelt PD. “The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office was called in to assist with a bomb dog. Deputy Preibe and his K9 then conducted a perimeter search before entering the premises, followed by a full search of the interior of the building. No explosives were located, and the staff were notified that they could return to the building.” The bomb threat called in to the Vernal O’Reilly Auto Parts store happened during the same time period. Both cases are under investigation as Vernal PD and Roosevelt PD work to identify those responsible for the threats.
