Roosevelt City Police Department has some reminders for the public that are true at all times but are timely with UBIC underway. First, there is no smoking or vaping allowed in the city parks. Smoking and vaping are only allowed in parking lots. When it comes to motorized vehicles: side-by-sides, golf carts and other similar vehicles are not allowed on the grass or sidewalks at city parks unless authorized by Roosevelt Police Department. Drivers violating this rule may be cited and vehicles towed. Personal assistive mobility devices, like motorized wheelchairs, are allowed everywhere. The final reminder is that no beer, alcohol, or open containers of alcohol are allowed in city parks. “Help us spread the word about these important rules for our Roosevelt city parks,” shares the announcement. “These rules are always in effect, but they are even more important for everyone’s safety and enjoyment during large celebrations and events. Stay safe and have a great time!”
