Don’t let the cold get you down! Winterfest kicks off tonight in Roosevelt City with New Year’s fireworks and continues with activities running through the month of January. Winterfest has transformed over the years but it started thanks to a local dentist who wanted to see a winter activity in Roosevelt that got more people outside. That first year focused on cross country skiing and since then has grown into a variety of fun family activities to start each year. This year’s Winterfest will include activities throughout the month at the Roosevelt Library, Crossroads Event Center, Constitution Park, and more. Tonight’s fireworks will be at Constitution Park starting 30 minutes after dark and this weekend there will be an Intro To D&D Night as part of Winterfest held at the Roosevelt Library on January 3rd from 6 to 10pm.
