Working in the public services for the city can be tireless and thankless. Roosevelt City recently gave a shout out to their Public Works Department, sharing a study that compared them to other cities of similar size in Utah. The study helped to put in perspective their hard work and dedication. Roosevelt City Public Works has only six full-time staff members with two part-time laborers that help in the summer. Between them they are in charge of 47 miles of roads, 103 miles of water line, 47 miles of sewer line, 14 miles of secondary water line and 8 miles of storm drain. When broken down it equates to each member of the staff responsible for close to 27.22 miles of infrastructure. That alone is impressive but compare that to Price at 8.55 miles per staff, it seems monumental. The city of Roosevelt thanks Public Works Director Kirby Wolfinjer, Paul Chacon, Tim Criss, Brian Chipman, Dusty Anderton, Clyde Stansfield, and Dan Madsen for all the early mornings in the snowstorms plowing the streets, to the maintaining of the roads and water lines, as well as managing the sewer system. Well done to all!
