As Christmas leaves our rearview mirrors and we head into the dead of winter we might get the winter blues. Roosevelt City Parks Arts & Recreation wants to help keep the cheer going with Winterfest 2020. What started as a desire of local dentist, Dr. Doug Ogden, for more people to get outside and to have newcomers try cross country skiing has turned into an event that features a variety of activities throughout the month of January. Winterfest kicks off with Free Family Game Night on Saturday, January 4th. There will be strategy games available for check-out with coaching for those that need it. People can also bring their own party game or kids games for the younger ones to play. The fun starts at 6pm and goes until 10pm at the Crossroads Center. Throughout the month there will also be Aladdin Jr., Yoga with Cris Sorenson, free sledding and ice skating in the park, basketball clinics, cross-country skiing, paint night, a Day of Dance, and BYU Ballroom Dance in concert. The schedule of events is shared on the Roosevelt City Facebook page.
