If you haven’t gotten into the spirit of fun this summer there’s still time, especially in Roosevelt City. Today the community is invited for some family friendly fun at Roosevelt’s Central Park for frozen treats and play time under the new playground shade structure. At noon on August 21st, the community is invited out again, this time to the Constitution Park walking path to attend the Sports Complex groundbreaking event and to enjoy free hotdogs. Then on August 28th a favorite event is back with Family Dinner Night at Constitution Park. The first 2000 people to attend will receive $5 tokens to spend at the variety of food trucks that will be there. The event, which is sponsored by Northeastern Counseling Center, the Prevention Advisory Coalition, and Roosevelt Arts, Parks, and Recreation, lasts from 5 to 7:30pm and all are invited!
