Roosevelt City Latest to Implement Coronavirus Precautionary Measures

Roosevelt City has announced their plan in preparation for the possibility of Coronavirus coming to the Uintah Basin. The initial measures state that while all Roosevelt City services will remain fully active, members of the public should avoid visiting the City Offices unless absolutely necessary. Utility bills can be paid online at www.xpressbillpay.com or by telephone at 435-722-5001. The current city council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th, will proceed as planned but the scheduled public hearing regarding changes to Title II of the city code has been cancelled. “Officials do not feel it is fair to solicit public comment on important issues during a time when many members of the public may be unwilling or unable to be present,” shares the City. The public is encouraged to not attend the meeting in person unless absolutely necessary but the meeting will be streamed live online at www.rooseveltcity.com and all residents are invited to participate virtually. Decisions about recreation programs and facilities are still pending and will be announced if and when they are made. More changes may be implemented as Roosevelt officials continue to monitor the situation.
