The Roosevelt City Council recognizes that not everyone can make it in person to the City Council meetings but still wants to ensure that every voice in the community is heard. With this in mind they have shared the steps to take to stay connected with the City Council. First, is to subscribe on the City’s website. Use the “Notify Me” tool to sign up and to select the notices that you would like to receive, including City Council Agendas, Committee Agendas, Bid Postings, Calendar Items, and more directly to your inbox. Second, watch the meetings online. Council meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm at the Roosevelt City Offices and can be streamed live by clicking on the “Meeting Videos” button that is located on the Rooseveltcity.com homepage. Third, if you can attend, participate in the public comment period which is 15 minutes set aside at the beginning of the meeting. It can be about the items on the agenda or things that you wish to bring to the attention of the Council. Some items require a Public Hearing which are held during regularly scheduled Council meetings. If you would like your voice to be heard during the public comment period or at a Public Hearing and you aren’t able to attend the meeting, comments can be emailed. The comment will then be reviewed and entered into the public record. You can also submit written comments at the City office.
