Roosevelt City Celebrates the Grand Opening of the Ice Rink

by | Jan 18, 2021 | News | 0 comments

The ice rink at Constitution Park delayed its opening  because the water initially didn’t freeze in the anticipated timeline. The Roosevelt City crew took the extra time to fix cracked areas and prepare it for an opening just a week later. Roosevelt City shared that they “worked tirelessly to prep the ice, fill in holes caused by air bubbles, and create the smoothest possible surface for skating.” Community members gathered and enjoyed the new venue all weekend. The rink started out with a firework show, hot chocolate, food vendors and free ice skating. The rink will be open all winter long and is available to those who bring their own skates.
