Roosevelt City is not letting the current conditions slow down their progress in improving the City. Crews started mobilizing on April 16th so that a new sidewalk project can start on Monday, April 20th. The new project will build a sidewalk and street lighting on 500 East between Lagoon Street and 800 South. Community Development Block Grant funding was secured last year for the project in hopes of significantly improving safety for pedestrians and students moving between Union High School and Centennial Elementary School. The project is scheduled to be complete on July 30th. The contractor will release more information as it becomes more available.
