The Roosevelt Animal Shelter is pleading with the public to consider pet adoption and to just be responsible pet owners. “We are drowning with dogs and are going to have to make some difficult decisions soon, unless our community steps up!” shares the announcement. “In our shelter, we have 16 large dog kennels, and 9 small dog kennels. We are currently housing 31 dogs! We have over 75 dogs on our surrender waitlist, and strays coming in daily that we have to help.” The Shelter has shared the list of dogs that have been in their custody for 3 months or longer. “It is a community effort to remain under the No-kill standard,” they share. “Please spay/neuter your pets. Make sure that they are up to date on their vaccinations and are microchipped. Animals are not disposable, they are a lifelong commitment, please be a responsible pet owner.” Visit the Roosevelt Animal Shelter Facebook page to link to the list of their adoptable animals.
