A Rock Springs angler is getting some attention online after sharing a photo on social media of a massive catch on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Flaming Gorge Resort shared the photo of Shane DuBois with the impressive lake trout that was just shy of 44 inches long. DuBois is a professional guide and reportedly caught this lake trout on the Wyoming side of Flaming Gorge through the ice. Based on the picture you may assume the catch is record worthy but it’s actually short by about 4 inches. Still, the photo is making the rounds of social media as a major catch worthy of bragging rights.
