The Uintah County Commission approved an expansion project for Rock Point Cemetery during Tuesday’s Commission meeting. The Purchasing and Grants Department shared with Commissioners that they have been working with the Facilities and Cemetery Department on the need to expand Rock Point Cemetery. The expansion includes irrigation system upgrades, ground preparation, hydroseeding and tree planting. Uintah County put out a Request For Proposals for the project on March 12th, which closed on March 21st. The review process was undertaken on proposals from Allred’s Landscaping and Stubbs & Stubbs. Allred’s Landscaping met the RFP requirements and came in with the low bid at $99,716 dollars while Stubbs & Stubbs bid was $152,988 dollars. Based on the review committee’s recommendation, the Commission unanimously approved the award of the Rock Point Cemetery expansion project to Allred’s Landscaping.
