If you or someone you know has an idea for a business but didn’t have the funds to get it off the ground a special opportunity is coming up that may give you the chance! The Rise and Thrive Speed Business Pitch Competition is coming to Vernal. “Participants will have 6 minutes to present their idea, marketing strategy, and plans for scalability [and] pitches will be assessed based on their realistic development of a product or service, research, customers and traction.” Prizes will be awarded with first prize receiving $6,000 dollars plus 1-year Designated Desk Membership at the Vernal Innovation Hub (a $1,188 dollar value). Applications are due May 7th. The first competition will be held at the Vernal Innovation Hub on May 11th and 12th and the winners will be announced on May 13th. The Final Competition with a panel of judges will be at the Rise and Thrive Business Expo held at the Uintah Conference Center on May 19th and 20th.
