A celebration of Rio Blanco County’s cultural heritage is coming up on August 10th at the fairgrounds in Meeker. The 112th Anniversary Reunion “Boots and Roots” dinner and dance put on by the Rio Blanco County Pioneers Association is for everyone with ties to Rio Blanco County. “The committee is particularly interested in welcoming new and younger community members,” shares the announcement, “to sustain this 112 year-old traditional annual gathering created originally to honor notable pioneer family members and their descendants who contributed to the early development of Meeker, Rangely and Rio Blanco County.” For more information, visit www.RBCPioneers.org.
