Rifle Police Department is encouraging the public to stay alert as the search continues for a wanted felon. At around 4pm on July 5th, Garfield County Sheriff’s Deputies were attempting to make contact with an individual with felony arrest warrants for a violent assault when the male subject, Bradley Wilczek, fled from police. A search for Wilczek ensued in which the Rifle Police Officers, Garfield County Sheriff’s Deputies, and SPEAR officers searched the area for several hours. They worked late into the night.working off tips and witnesses. Bradley Wiczek, born in 1982, is a white male, with brown hair, and green eyes, 5′ 6″ tall weighing 180 pounds, and a single-leg amputee. If you see Wilczek, please call 9-1-1. Law enforcement states that there is no elevated risk to the public but wants to remind everyone to lock your home and vehicle doors and windows. This investigation is ongoing with an outstanding arrest warrant. Updates will be released when information is available.
