The public is being asked to avoid the area as crews battle a wildfire in Wyoming and northeastern Utah. Details are minimal but Utah Fire Info reports that the Richard Fire started in Wyoming on Monday and burned across the border into Utah. As of Monday night, Utah Fire Info estimated the Richard Fire between 1,000 and 1,200 acres. Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic and public safety alert on Monday evening sharing that Clay Basin Road and Browns Park Road off of Highway 191 in Southern Sweetwater County were closed. “Fire crews remain on scene into the night,” shared the Sheriff’s Office who had asked the public to avoid the area as crews work.
