Uintah Basin Healthcare recently had a ribbon cutting for their new 3D Mammography Suite. The Uintah Basin Healthcare announcement shared that they are very excited for what this equipment will be able to do for the healthcare of women. A sad fact is 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer, yet many women avoid a simple mammogram because it is uncomfortable or intimidating. The Senographe Pristina™ with Dueta patient-controlled compression from GE Healthcare is the latest machine that offers 3D imaging with the same dose as 2D mammography plus patients are able to control the compression. Uintah Basin Healthcare is the first in the state of Utah to have this new marvelous wonder. The new mammography suite is set up to include beautiful sensory lighting, TVs with calming artwork/photography, and the ability for the patient to choose the music of their choice during their exam.
