A Canadian company has provided an update on their proposed Battery Storage project planned for Uintah County. Revolve Renewable Power Corporation develops utility-scale wind, solar and battery storage projects in the US and Mexico. Their Vernal Battery Storage project is planned to be located on a 47-acre land parcel 4 miles north of Vernal. “The project site benefits from excellent access through the existing local road network and is in close proximity to existing transmission infrastructure,” shares the announcement from Revolve. “The Company secured a surety facility of $1.8 million dollars [and] Revolve has now received the final second phase study for the Project, the results of which continue to remain in line with the Company’s expectations both in terms of the overall cost of the interconnection and the potential commissioning timeline. The Company is now expected to sign an interconnection agreement for the Project by the end of this year ahead of the previously indicated timeline of 2024. Permitting and other development works on the project are continuing with a ready to build target date in late 2024.”
